Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document high-performance Java applications for a real-time foreign-exchange trading platform.
- Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Lead architecture and design for complex, distributed, latency-sensitive trading systems.
- Establish technical direction and mentor engineers on design, code quality, testing, and engineering best practices.
- Partner with technology and business stakeholders to shape the engineering roadmap.
- Diagnose and resolve critical production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
- Evaluate and promote emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to improve engineering efficiency.
- Ensure systems are resilient, highly available, and fault-tolerant.
- Support 24/7 production environments and optimize performance for scalability, reliability, and low latency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including high-performance Java development.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting multithreaded, distributed, real-time trading systems.
- Proven experience leading technical design and architectural decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence engineering standards.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and distributed-system design.
- Expertise optimizing applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and latency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with Linux environments, scripting, network programming, and relational databases such as Oracle.
- Background in electronic order handling, FIX protocol, and market-data processing is a plus.
