Base Salary

$220k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain core frameworks, libraries, and shared packages for product engineers.
  • Own developer experience across local development environments, build systems, CI/CD, test infrastructure, and onboarding time-to-first-commit.
  • Build tooling including linters, formatters, static analysis, code generation, and automated quality checks.
  • Identify shipping bottlenecks and re-architect foundational abstractions to support organizational and product scale.
  • Lead technical initiatives that establish quality standards in the codebase.
  • Define and scale experimentation, monitoring, reliability, and observability for production systems.
  • Improve the core Luminai IDE experience for end users.
  • Establish secure platform defaults for access control, secrets management, and authentication.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including zero-to-one projects driven from scratch.
  • Track record of shipping high-quality code on difficult technical problems.
  • Experience building and improving internal frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling used by other engineers.
  • Direct experience designing high-performance backend systems in production and making architectural trade-offs.
  • Familiarity with a modern infrastructure stack such as Kafka or Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of backend and cloud security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and encryption.
  • Familiarity with frontend foundations such as JavaScript toolchains, bundlers, and build systems is beneficial but not required.
