Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and lead end-to-end architecture for enterprise AI systems, including data pipelines, model storage, inference, integrations, and user-facing components.
- Evaluate and select AI technology stacks, cloud platforms, LLMs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, and deployment tools.
- Establish MLOps, coding, model versioning, deployment, privacy, compliance, governance, and AI safety standards.
- Design complex systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, processes, and enterprise business solutions.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical design walkthroughs, impact analysis, requirements development, and resolution of complex architecture and business problems.
- Provide strategic consultation, enterprise strategy development, process improvement, technology research, and business innovation planning.
- Serve as a technical liaison across Data Science, DevOps, Product, business, management, and other organizational departments.
- Mentor engineers, peers, management, and business users; prepare presentations and communicate architectural decisions to senior leadership.
- Optimize cloud spending for GPU/TPU resources and anticipate infrastructure needs over a 12–24 month horizon.
- Participate in customer walkthroughs, technical decision-making, project initiatives, and travel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a closely related field is required; no substitutions are listed.
- At least 7 years of experience in an IT discipline is required, with 7 years in a business discipline also listed as required.

- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, API design, cloud-native patterns, complex data schemas, enterprise integration, and legacy-system modernization is required.

- Expertise with AWS/SageMaker, Azure/Azure ML, or GCP/Vertex AI and AI lifecycle tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Kubeflow, MLflow, or BentoML is required.
- Strong generative AI knowledge, including Transformer architectures, retrieval-augmented generation, and fine-tuning methodologies, is required.
- Experience with MLOps, model versioning, deployment strategies, human-in-the-loop systems, guardrails, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and AI safety is expected.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, health insurance industry knowledge, and industry certifications such as Java Developer, DB2, Cognos, PEGA, Enterprise Architect, or project management certifications.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, technical documentation, design-review leadership, mentoring, executive presentation, and cost-management skills are required.
Benefits
- Base pay range is $118,400.00 to $196,800.00.
- Travel is required.
