Base Salary
$150k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with robotics, ML, and product teams to define requirements and build well-architected software systems.
- Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs supporting production workflows and customer-facing features.
- Own integrations among multi-agent systems, cloud infrastructure, internal tooling, and robot-facing interfaces.
- Build orchestration and state-management services for long-running operational processes.
- Improve reliability and scalability through testing, observability, incident response, and performance tuning.
- Produce maintainable, well-tested code, contribute to reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering standards.
- Participate in or lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning sessions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and diagnose and resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Rust, Python, or C++.
- Strong fundamentals in backend services, distributed systems, data modeling, and API design.
- Experience designing scalable systems and leading complex technical projects.
- Strong self-learning, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry, AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, production systems, internal developer platforms, tooling, workflow systems, or automation environments such as warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics.
