Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop innovative software solutions for complex aerospace problems.
- Research and develop software algorithms and numerical-method solutions.
- Build robust tests and pipelines to maximize code coverage and streamline deployment.
- Support software deployment through Agile development cycles.
- Communicate progress to the broader group during round-table discussions.
Requirements
- Be eligible to work in Canada and enrolled at a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Be a mechanical, computer, or software engineering student in a co-op term, from first through final term.
- Demonstrate fluency in Python and ideally a compiled language such as C or Fortran.
- Know Python testing frameworks such as pytest.
- Know revision-management systems such as Git or SVN.
- Have experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Have analytical experience in turbomachinery design, systems engineering, or controls software development.
- Possess functional English proficiency for technical reading, writing, and occasional communication.
