Responsibilities

  • Participate in software development and software validation as a member of an agile team.
  • Analyze software requirements and prepare software design documentation.
  • Develop object-oriented Python modules hosted in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Participate in software validation, acceptance, and test automation.
  • Develop methods and tools to monitor P&WC ground station data-processing performance.
  • Study continuous improvements for in-service engine data-processing software and prepare standardized procedure and training documentation.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Be able to work exclusively on-site in Longueuil, Quebec.
  • Be pursuing studies in computer science, software development, or aerospace.
  • Have excellent spoken and written English and French communication skills.
  • Have experience developing applications in Python using Git for source code control.
  • Organizational skills, ability to handle competing priorities, self-learning ability, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills are assets.
  • Advanced Python and Excel skills are assets.
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check and obtain required clearances for handling and transferring controlled goods.

Benefits

  • Fully on-site position in Longueuil, Quebec, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours.
  • Work in the Digital Engine Services Ground Station Software team on aircraft engine data and health monitoring systems.
