Responsibilities
- Design and further develop enterprise AI/ML platform architectures with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Technically lead ML pipeline projects covering training, deployment, monitoring, and drift detection.
- Design and optimize RAG architectures, including chunking, retrieval, guardrails, and context orchestration.
- Define and advance MLOps strategies involving experiment tracking, model registries, and model delivery workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and coordination for interdisciplinary ML/AI, LLM, and MLOps engineering teams.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders and present technical concepts to IT leadership and business departments.
Requirements
- Several years of experience with ML/AI architectures or comparable technical responsibilities in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with cloud-based AI/ML solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure, including Azure Machine Learning and Azure OpenAI Service.
- Practical experience with MLOps, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, vector databases, and language-model integration and orchestration.
- Knowledge of tools and frameworks such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML Pipelines, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Experience with ML CI/CD and very good Python skills.
- Practical experience with at least two machine-learning frameworks, such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience designing enterprise architectures in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of data platforms, containerization, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and observability is advantageous.
- Understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI, security, and data-protection requirements in enterprise environments.
- Experience in a technical leadership or architecture role is desirable.
- Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector and data-driven use cases is ideal.
- Very good German language skills at C2 level and good English skills.
