Base Salary
$80k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support RBC Global Asset Management’s Quantitative Research and Investments team as part of the Quantitative Development team.
- Interpret business requirements and implement custom technology and analytics solutions using financial and mathematical knowledge.
- Use Python, pandas, MATLAB, and SQL to develop and support quantitative models, analytics, portfolio optimizations, and processes.
- Productionalize research and follow software engineering practices including test and deployment automation, documentation, and peer code reviews.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python and pandas for data analysis.
- Experience with MATLAB or willingness to learn it, including the ability to produce and support quantitative models and portfolio optimizations.
- Good SQL skills for constructing complex queries.
- Experience working with financial data and financial calculations.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
- Understanding of the investment industry, particularly asset management and quantitative investing, is preferred.
- Experience with Databricks and Tableau is preferred.
