Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications for Datavant’s healthcare data ecosystem.
- Develop scalable frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions.
- Guide technical design decisions and establish scalable, maintainable architecture patterns.
- Own projects end to end from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer-focused user experiences.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical discussions, engineering practices, and the engineering blog.
- Drive solutions that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience spanning modern frontend development and backend services.
- Experience building customer-facing applications with React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
- Ability to write maintainable code, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept through production and navigate complex technical challenges.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and design teams.
- Passion for mentoring engineers and elevating team technical capabilities.
Benefits
- Estimated total cash compensation range is $185,000—$225,000 USD; this is excluded from base salary fields because it is labeled total cash compensation.
- Post-offer health screenings and proof or completion of vaccinations may be required by clients, with some case-by-case exemptions depending on location.
