Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, test, document, deliver, and maintain embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that fit within the overall system architecture.
  • Develop software solutions with a focus on generative artificial intelligence.
  • Evaluate and make decisions about new or existing software products and tools.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization to reduce latency, improve throughput, and enhance resource utilization.
  • Integrate security best practices, including encryption, role-based access control, and secure API authentication.
  • Produce comprehensive software documentation.
  • Mentor junior development engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or in a related software development occupation; the basic qualifications also require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Two years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, embedded, or distributed software using Java, Python, C#, C++, or object-oriented design.
  • Two years of experience with data structures, algorithms, or object-oriented design principles; version control such as Git; web technologies or web services; software testing; performance optimization; security practices; databases; AWS or similar cloud infrastructure; and large language models.
  • One year of experience creating and maintaining large-scale distributed applications or services using cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

  • Base salary range of $143,700–$194,400 per year, with potential equity, sign-on payments, restricted stock units, and other compensation excluded from the salary field.
