Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance services supporting real-time pricing decisions across multiple products.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate goals into technical solutions.
- Drive architectural improvements to support platform growth, new products, and evolving modeling needs.
- Mentor and coach engineers while improving system design, testing, and operational practices.
- Ensure pricing engine quality and reliability through testing, code reviews, and production monitoring.
- Improve developer experience, automation, and observability to increase team velocity and platform resilience.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience building scalable public or consumer-facing products.
- High proficiency writing production Python and some experience with Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
- Experience independently owning and delivering complex, multi-month engineering projects.
- Experience designing and building scalable APIs and microservices in AWS or GCP.
- Strong focus on scalability, performance, system reliability, testing, monitoring, automation, and observability.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching engineers, influencing technical direction, and serving as a technical owner.
- Preferred background in finance, fintech, financial mathematics, statistics, or machine learning.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems, cloud-native development, and infrastructure-focused CI/CD pipelines.
- Open-source contributions, technical talks, or mentorship are preferred.

- Base salary range is $166,900-$230,900 USD in the United States or $153,000-$190,000 CAD in Canada, with bonuses, equity, and benefits.
