Base Salary

$55k - $126k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Apply mathematical methods including optimization, modeling, probability, and algorithmic development to real-world defense mission problems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and mission experts to understand client questions and address data-driven challenges.
  • Support algorithm design, model validation, analytic experimentation, and explainability analysis.
  • Evaluate advanced AI and machine learning techniques for trustworthiness, robustness, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Experience with Python, Java, C++, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Scheduled to obtain a master’s degree in a STEM field by Spring 2028 or Summer 2028.
  • Preferred: experience with AI or ML model development or integration; cloud platforms, containerization, or DevSecOps tooling; databases such as SQL or NoSQL; or data engineering pipelines.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Agile development.
