Base Salary
$125k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a software development team or project, including planning, task definition and assignment, performance monitoring, and status tracking.
- Translate requirements into working and maintainable software solutions while enforcing processes across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop embedded software using modern C++ tools and standards for simulated and target hardware.
- Provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert in embedded software application development.
- Investigate complex issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and system designs.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Measure team work performed using EVMS techniques and plan or manage budgets and tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience debugging applications on simulated and target hardware.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Experience using a real-time operating system such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
- Experience leading a software team or project and strong project management skills.
- Object-oriented design and implementation experience, including exposure to software modeling and UML tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience with EVMS, device drivers, board support packages, information assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 certification, DO-178 or other software certification, and Rust.
