Base Salary
$94k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into working and maintainable software for target hardware.
- Develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational requirements, and overall system designs.
- Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, formal testing, and other software development life cycle phases.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment for operating-data analysis, experimental testing, prototyping, and evaluation.
- Participate in peer reviews, identify and repair defects, and investigate root causes of complex issues.
- Develop software using Java, C, C++, Python, modern cloud application development tools, and platform and infrastructure services.
- Work independently and with multidisciplinary teams while gathering requirements and prioritizing and scoping tasks.
- Obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with four years of applicable experience, or a master's degree with two years of related experience.
- At least two years of experience developing software in Java, C, and/or C++ and debugging application and cloud-based applications.
- Exposure to debugging embedded applications on simulated and target hardware.
- Experience with hardware-software integration.
- Experience with Rational Team Concert or Jira.
- Preferred experience includes Agile Scrum practices, an active DoD SECRET clearance, device drivers, integrated communication systems, object-oriented design, software modeling and UML, network architectures and protocols, Asterisk, RMF security controls, static analysis, code coverage, automated test frameworks, and VOIP/DSL communication systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are preferred.
