Base Salary

$118k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into maintainable software solutions for high-assurance encryption products.
  • Investigate complex issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Design, implement, integrate, and formally test software for embedded real-time systems and target hardware.
  • Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation; participate in peer reviews and defect remediation.
  • Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams on interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.
  • Use Rust, C/C++, and Python to develop software and support the full software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct modeling, experimental testing, prototyping, and evaluation of results.
  • Lead small project efforts or technical investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing Rust software for production systems.
  • At least 2 years of software design and development experience using C/C++ and object-oriented design.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s degree and an active security clearance are highly preferred.
  • Experience with software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python, Rust, embedded software systems, information assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 certification, or software certifications such as DO-178 is preferred.
