Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for new-to-cloud public sector customers across the UK, Germany, and international organizations.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions in English and German and recommend AWS-based solutions.
  • Design and present foundational cloud architectures aligned with customer outcomes and public sector requirements.
  • Lead workshops, proof-of-concept engagements, technical demonstrations, and migration planning.
  • Partner with Account Executives on territory planning, account prioritization, engagement strategies, technical win plans, and pipeline reviews.
  • Create repeatable plays and enablement assets for cost optimization, compliance, and legacy migration scenarios.
  • Address German, EU, and UK procurement and compliance frameworks with customers.
  • Coordinate with AWS service teams, partner systems integrators, and security specialists to assemble solutions.
  • Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, contribute operational best practices, and communicate customer feedback to influence AWS feature and service roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Fluent German speaking, writing, and reading ability.
  • Experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience in IT development or implementation and consulting within the software or Internet industries.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS, web services, software development, or related technologies.
  • Preferred: familiarity with CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
  • Preferred: understanding of German public sector frameworks such as EVB-IT and BSI C5 and/or UK frameworks such as G-Cloud and Cyber Essentials.
