Responsibilities
- Design and deliver complex production features using Python and React.
- Build and maintain Python backend applications, services, and APIs.
- Develop responsive web applications with React.
- Own delivery from requirements and technical design through testing, release, deployment, and production support.
- Implement integrations across APIs, relational databases, and enterprise systems.
- Investigate production issues, support deployments, and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and ensure code quality, security, and correctness.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
- Production experience delivering full-stack applications and owning complex features.
- Hands-on experience building Python backend applications, services, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining production interfaces with React.
- Experience with authentication, application design, testing, deployment, SQL, data modeling, and relational databases.
- Experience integrating applications with APIs and enterprise systems, deploying to a cloud platform, and supporting production systems.
- Practical experience using Claude, Codex, or similar AI-enhanced development tools, with judgment to evaluate generated code.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience building and testing AI agents that combine large language models with tools or APIs, evaluating agent outputs, and handling failures.
- Preferred experience in financial technology, asset management, or other enterprise environments.
