Responsibilities
- Architect scalable backend systems and latency-sensitive applications for globally deployed intercoms.
- Drive technical direction and lead engineers in project execution.
- Design complex systems with simple, robust backend APIs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Own backend systems end to end and ship significant products.
- Resolve problems that span beyond team boundaries.
- Collaborate with firmware, mobile, and frontend engineers to develop the intercom product line.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry backend software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company.
- Experience driving technical direction and leading engineers on project execution.
- Experience designing scalable systems and latency-sensitive applications.
- Experience designing complex systems with simple and robust backend APIs.
- Deep expertise with relational databases; Postgres experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang.
- A BS or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or science.
- Kubernetes experience is a plus.
