Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software services and data pipelines connecting operational telemetry, product usage, infrastructure consumption, and cost data.
- Implement cloud services supporting Microsoft 365 and Copilot economics, infrastructure efficiency, and data-driven decisions.
- Build capabilities that expose cost drivers, resource utilization, service dependencies, and operational efficiency opportunities.
- Apply AI technologies, agents, and intelligent automation to improve engineering productivity and operational workflows.
- Own software feature and component design, implementation, testing, delivery, and production support.
- Improve service reliability, observability, performance, data quality, and operational efficiency through monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and partner teams on requirements, technical solutions, architecture, and delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and production operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree and 4+ years of experience, or a bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable software systems, cloud services, distributed systems, data platforms, or data-processing pipelines.
- Experience delivering software from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, cloud architecture, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience with data, analytics, telemetry, observability, dashboards, data pipelines, or data-driven applications.
- Familiarity with large language models, AI agents, AI-assisted development tools, cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, solve technical problems, translate requirements into reliable solutions, and maintain code quality and engineering best practices.
