
Sr Software Engineer

- Contribute technical expertise across assigned applications and system components, including appropriate use of AI-assisted tools.
- Participate in software design, development, architectural discussions, and requirements analysis.
- Write high-quality production code and unit, integration, and system tests for business-critical components.
- Ensure feature quality, performance, security, and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot systems, perform root-cause analysis, and remediate issues.
- Modernize legacy components through refactoring and migration planning.
- Apply secure coding practices and use AI-enabled scanning or analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities.
- Diagnose software, server, and network bottlenecks and evaluate optimization options.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and peer programming.
- Influence architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and four years of related experience, or a master’s degree with up to two years of experience, or eight years of experience without a degree.
- Experience developing with TypeScript, Java, Node.js, and React.
- Hands-on experience using modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
- Ability to evaluate technical requirements, follow architectural patterns, and build maintainable and scalable implementations.
- Ability to communicate engineering concepts and solutions to less-technical team members.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship; OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, and visa sponsorship are not accepted.
- Preferred experience developing REST APIs with an AWS serverless framework.
- AWS Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps certifications are highly preferred.
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, or ClaudeCode is preferred.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small development initiatives is preferred.
