Responsibilities
- Deliver robust, scalable, high-quality software aligned with customer, team, and business outcomes.
- Build and operate production cloud services using C#, .NET Core, and AWS.
- Transition monolithic architecture to modern microservices and establish clearer service boundaries.
- Resolve legacy-system and database scalability challenges and modernize service interfaces and APIs.
- Automate manual processes and apply test-driven and trunk-based development practices.
- Collaborate across teams on planning, delivery, technical excellence, and developer efficiency.
- Communicate with stakeholders, mentor colleagues, share feedback, and support an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Proficient backend development experience with one or more of C#, .NET, Java, or Go.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts such as service-to-service communication, eventual consistency, and resilience patterns.
- Practical experience with relational databases where transactional data integrity and ACID principles are important.
- Working knowledge of modern DevOps practices, automated testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Interest in using modern artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity and engineering workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to manage internal stakeholders as a technical product partner.
Benefits
- Expected base salary range is 131,800 - 150,000 CAD.
