Base Salary
$190k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and build of user experiences using modern web development technologies, especially Angular.
- Manage UI engineering teams and coordinate with client stakeholders and other contributors to deliver software.
- Act as a hands-on engineer and architect across frontend projects, including complex systems.
- Contribute to Lab49’s Interactive Practice and promote high-quality UI engineering practices.
- Build client relationships as a strategic partner and technical advisor while supporting follow-on business.
- Partner with business development on pitches, solution presentations, engagement terms, and industry networking.
- Support the development of management practices and career planning across the Engineering practice.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building complex commercial-grade software applications.
- 5+ years leading Agile teams and experience managing project teams and interacting with clients.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks, specifically Angular; React or Vue experience is also relevant.
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms and contemporary software delivery practices.
- Strong understanding of testing, quality, continuous integration, source control, and code reviews.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, technology, and innovation capabilities.
- Experience in capital markets, financial markets or products, consulting, or startup environments is desirable.
- Backend experience with .NET, Java, or Python is a bonus.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Symphony, Salesforce, Databricks, or comparable financial products and tools is a bonus.
