Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, document, and troubleshoot Java-based enterprise applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop scalable backend services, microservices, event-driven services, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL implementations.
- Build and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, React, HTML5, CSS, Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical leadership, and Agile/Scrum teams to deliver sprint goals and establish technical standards.
- Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for service orchestration.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to support software quality.
- Analyze application performance and coding issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement defect resolutions.
- Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and propose AI-enabled product approaches.
- Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
- Streamline or automate recurring processes across architecture, build, delivery, production operations, and business areas.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with stated role experience of 7–10 years.
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology.
- Strong experience with Java, JavaScript frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
- Knowledge of application architecture, data structures, object-oriented principles, microservices, event-driven services, service-oriented architectures, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience implementing REST and GraphQL services and developing high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Full-stack development experience across front-end and back-end components, including React, HTML5, CSS, Java, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with relational database management systems, particularly Oracle.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and build and deployment tools including Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and OpenShift.
- AWS experience is considered a significant advantage.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Ability to develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Practical experience with code versioning tools including GitHub Enterprise.
- Practical experience using AI tools to enhance development workflows and awareness of evolving AI technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, escalation-management, and risk-management skills.
