Responsibilities
- Develop application software, systems, services, features, and enhancements aligned with established architecture.
- Drive medium-sized features and quality improvements with measurable performance and reliability outcomes.
- Provide global production support for critical issues and improve playbooks and alerts.
- Troubleshoot application-layer, API, integration, service-to-service, and OCI service issues and develop fixes.
- Define test strategies with QA, including unit and integration testing, and implement functional and non-functional testing.
- Design scalable solutions, API contracts, versioning strategies, interoperability approaches, and moderate architecture improvements.
- Perform debugging, profiling, optimization, monitoring, observability, maintenance, upgrading, and patching operations.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and identify product enhancements.
- Lead code reviews, promote secure coding and quality standards, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of application software development lifecycle practices, software design, coding, debugging, APIs, integration, and software architecture.
- Ability to independently design software solutions, translate ambiguous requirements into implementation plans, and troubleshoot moderately complex issues.
- Experience with testing, quality assurance, logging, monitoring, observability, performance optimization, scalability, and production support.
- Ability to implement secure coding practices, API lifecycle and versioning strategies, and application maintenance or patching procedures.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate with customers, prioritize work, and manage deliverables independently.
- Experience leading code reviews, coordinating feature delivery, mentoring junior engineers, and incorporating customer or production feedback.
