Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to create and execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures against internal and external attacks.
- Develop, test, review, debug, and deploy code supporting security protocols.
- Identify security problems and improve the security of team services.
- Assess risks affecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, systems, and services.
- Resolve security events and incidents and conduct security assessments using penetration testing and ethical hacking tools.
- Classify, store, and handle data according to policies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, research root causes, and resolve security or risk issues with guidance.
Requirements
- Experience coding or scripting in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of at least one security domain, including access control, network security, application or system development security, security architecture and models, cryptography, or operations security.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or an equivalent discipline, with expected conferral between October 2027 and December 2030.
- Be enrolled in an academic program physically located in the United States.
- Be at least 18 years old and able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Preferred: experience with Wireshark, encryption software, Snort, Sguil, Suricata, Kibana, Metasploit, Nmap, OpenSSL, or Setkey.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.
- Preferred: prior technical internship or co-op experience in a security domain.
- Preferred: enrollment in a relevant master’s degree program with expected conferral between October 2027 and December 2030.
