Base Salary
$98k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Apply computer science course knowledge to real-world security challenges.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to select effective solutions.
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Help protect network boundaries, harden systems and network devices, and safeguard sensitive data.
- Monitor systems for attacks and intrusions and proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with peers, managers, software engineers, and other teams to support a productive and innovative team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Coding experience with one or more of Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with one or more of network protocols, secure network design, web application or browser security, authentication control, applied cryptography or security protocols, or intrusion detection.
- Preferred: currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside university term time.
- Preferred: in the penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completing the internship.
- Preferred: understanding of technical privacy issues and experience with the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred: excellent communication skills.
