Base Salary
$150k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and deploy Terraform infrastructure code for repeatable cloud environments on GCP and other cloud providers.
- Maintain and optimize production Google Kubernetes Engine clusters, including uptime, networking, and scaling.
- Use LLM-based coding assistants and help manage and improve the organization’s AI platform.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer experience in collaboration with application development teams.
- Participate in incident response, investigate root causes, and implement long-term reliability fixes.
- Optimize cloud resources and costs while maintaining performance and security standards.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams on cloud architecture and engineering practices.
- Build and enhance the Backstage internal developer portal for engineering self-service.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing and managing cloud compute, storage, networking, and security environments.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in production or staging environments.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
- Understanding of VPCs, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and networking fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a disciplined approach to reliability and security.
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: applicable cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Preferred: ability to automate tasks with Python, Bash, or Go.
- Preferred: exposure to financial technology, crypto systems, or high-volume web platforms.
