Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain desktop, web, backend, and cloud software.
- Develop features using C#/.NET, WPF, Angular, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop and maintain APIs, service integrations, cloud-connected services, and web-based configuration applications.
- Integrate with Genetec Security Center, transit systems, vehicle systems, and external services.
- Implement features from requirements and design through production delivery.
- Diagnose defects and investigate production issues with support and other teams.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Contribute to software architecture, performance, maintainability, and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, task estimation, and design activities.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to plan and validate software releases.
Requirements
- Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience developing desktop, web, and/or backend applications.
- Experience with WPF and XAML, or the ability to learn WPF.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern component-based web framework such as Angular or React.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and web application fundamentals.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, application performance, and maintainable software design.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
- Experience writing automated tests and diagnosing issues in complex or distributed applications.
- Fluency in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with Genetec Security Center or similar enterprise-platform integrations is an asset.
- Experience with access control, physical security, transit systems, fleet management, AVL/GPS, or vehicle communications is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, automated deployment pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Go, MongoDB, SQL Server, gRPC, MQTT, NATS, TCP, UDP, or OpenAPI/Swagger is an asset.
