Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend microservices that model logistics processes.
- Own the Billing & Settlement domain, including customer and supplier invoicing, claims management, and billing-related master data.
- Contribute to architecture across the full technology stack and critically evaluate existing approaches.
- Share operational responsibility for services, including observability, troubleshooting, and performance.
- Collaborate with logistics subject-matter experts and cross-functional product team members.
- Drive internationalization of the transport management system.
- Improve code quality through code reviews, pair programming, and useful engineering standards.
- Support frontend development.
Requirements
- Several years of well-founded backend development experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems, including their design.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Solid knowledge of cloud-native development with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Practical frontend development experience with TypeScript.
- Initiative, strong interest in software architecture, and willingness to take ownership.
- Experience with AI tools in the software development process is advantageous.
- Experience with Spring Batch and Kafka is advantageous.
- Experience with Angular and Angular Material is advantageous.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is advantageous.
- Background in Domain-Driven Design is advantageous.
- Interest in the logistics domain and willingness to understand business relationships.
