Base Salary
$130k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and iterate on software solutions from prototypes through production systems.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, product partners, and engineers to explore ideas and technical approaches.
- Work across varied technologies, languages, frameworks, applications, services, and platforms.
- Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI/ML and generative AI, where they create real value.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help establish engineering practices.
- Support architectural decisions and provide technical guidance to less senior engineers.
- Contribute to technical discovery, experimentation, rapid learning, and other related duties.
Requirements
- Strong general software engineering experience across different technology stacks.
- Experience designing and building modern applications, services, or platforms.
- Experience developing or integrating generative AI applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and modern development workflows.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous problem spaces and learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
- Pragmatic judgment about when to prototype quickly versus engineer for scale.
- Grounding in security, privacy, and accessibility principles, particularly for sensitive or regulated data.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance.
