Responsibilities
- Design generative, goal-oriented conversational agents using Apps, Agents, Sub-agents, and Sessions in CX Agent Studio.
- Write advanced Python using object-oriented programming, modern type hinting, and asynchronous patterns.
- Manage Python environments and dependencies with uv, virtual environments, and pip.
- Deploy agent components, webhook integrations, and backend APIs using Google Cloud Functions or Cloud Run.
- Use gcloud CLI and application-default credentials for Google Cloud project configuration and authentication.
- Design and register external APIs and tools that LLMs can invoke for data retrieval and backend tasks.
- Handle pagination, flatten API responses, and convert Protocol Buffers into usable data.
- Create automated golden tests and simulation runs using SCRAPI’s evals module.
- Analyze and optimize agent performance metrics, including real-time latency for voice interactions.
- Use shell scripting and LLM-assisted development tools such as Gemini CLI and Claude Code for scaffolding and debugging.
Requirements
- Advanced Python proficiency, including object-oriented programming, modern type hinting, and asynchronous patterns.
- Familiarity with uv, virtual environments, pip, CLI tools, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of generative agent design, prompt engineering, conversational memory, and LLM context management.
- Understanding of Dialogflow CX and CX Agent Studio fundamentals.
- Experience deploying services with Google Cloud Functions or Cloud Run and using gcloud CLI.
- Ability to design tool-calling and function-calling integrations with external APIs.
- Experience handling pagination, flattened API responses, and Protocol Buffers.
- Ability to create automated agent evaluations, golden tests, and simulation runs with SCRAPI’s evals module.
- Ability to analyze agent performance metrics such as real-time latency.
- Experience with Gemini CLI or Claude Code is part of the stated development workflow.
