Responsibilities
- Support and maintain critical mainframe applications for financial transaction processing and messaging.
- Use COBOL, JCL, DB2, MQ, CICS, and z/OS for application support and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure system stability.
- Install, configure, administer, and support IBM Financial Transaction Manager.
- Monitor system and application performance and implement improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, application enhancements, defect fixes, upgrades, and release processes using ChangeMan or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with operations, infrastructure, database, network, and support teams.
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation.
- Participate in on-call support, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and SWIFT Customer Security Programme activities.
- Contribute to reliability, operational efficiency, and modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on mainframe development and support experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, MQ, z/OS, and ChangeMan or equivalent tools.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting IBM software products.
- Experience with IBM Financial Transaction Manager or similar financial transaction-processing platforms.
- Strong SQL and DB2 performance-tuning experience.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and optimizing application performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability financial services environment.
- Preferred: financial services transaction-processing experience and familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards and infrastructure.
- Preferred: IBM Integration Bus or related integration technology experience and knowledge of payment processing, settlements, or banking operations.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
