Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated test cases from manual test scripts and test cases.
- Test API, web, network/infrastructure, and database-backed applications.
- Execute test suites, review and diagnose bugs, reproduce and isolate problems, and verify fixes.
- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test suites integrated with continuous integration pipelines.
- Derive testing requirements and contribute to test plans, procedures, reports, schedules, and strategies.
- Review software documentation, identify deviations from standards, and recommend changes for quality and compliance.
- Provide Engineering teams with feedback on software usability, functionality, risks, and release readiness.
- Research, analyze, document, and historically evaluate test results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python or Ruby and experience writing and maintaining automated tests with BDD frameworks such as Behave.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, pull request workflows, and Git submodules.
- Hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting automated test suites in Jenkins and/or GitLab Runner pipelines.
- Experience configuring or managing virtualized environments, particularly VMware ESXi.
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and macOS, including basic system administration and command-line usage.
- Knowledge of IP networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, subnets, and basic firewall configuration.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, SDLC, builds, deployments, and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to read complex manual test cases, implement new actions and scripts, update base-level classes safely, adapt to new technologies, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
