Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and scale Playwright automation tests using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Design Playwright frameworks using fixtures, hooks, page object models, test-runner configuration, and extensibility practices.
- Implement reliable locator strategies and advanced Playwright capabilities such as parallel execution, retries, reporting, trace viewing, screenshots, videos, and execution logs.
- Analyze automation failures, investigate defects, mitigate flaky tests, and improve test reliability.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for product functionality and user workflows.
- Participate in manual testing, failure analysis, and defect investigation.
- Improve quality assurance processes to identify, analyze, and report defects early in the development lifecycle.
- Share automation best practices and technical knowledge with engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related engineering stream, or an MCA, with strong academic records.
- 2 to 4 years of industry experience in software QA.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright automation tools.
- Strong experience developing Playwright automation tests with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Understanding of Playwright architecture, fixtures, hooks, page object model design, test-runner configuration, and framework extensibility.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, written communication, verbal communication, and technical learning skills.
- Exposure to an industry-leading PLM/PDM system is an advantage.
- Knowledge of client-server software architecture is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Shell, Python, or Perl is beneficial.
- Experience with REST API testing and automation is beneficial.
