Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes Operators and platform services, including deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Develop platform systems in Go or similar languages and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Automate cloud infrastructure and incident response while improving self-healing and reliability.
- Create and refine playbooks, runbooks, alerting, and response procedures.
- Maintain and improve product deployment pipelines and GitOps practices.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, resolution, and post-incident improvements.
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code and production platform lifecycle capabilities covering monitoring, alerting, security, cost, configuration, and backup.
- Improve developer experience and platform capabilities for product teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Java, or similar languages, with experience building and maintaining systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, FluxCD, or Argo CD.
- Experience with AWS or GCP and cloud-native patterns.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane and platform lifecycle management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, self-directed approach.
- Comfort with AI-augmented development tools such as Cursor.
- Kubernetes, cloud, or programming certifications are valued.
