Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and deliver mathematical and statistical models and algorithms for prediction, optimization, and classification.
- Apply machine learning algorithms to structured and unstructured datasets for autonomy, pattern recognition, target detection and tracking, recommendation, decision support, signal processing, and robotic systems.
- Design, develop, document, test, debug, and deploy AI/ML applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy AI/ML solutions in development and production environments.
- Perform rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Prepare and present technical progress and results to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience implementing or applying AI models and algorithms such as LLMs, deep neural networks, genetic algorithms, or embedding models.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with data processing and preparation, ML system training and fine-tuning, deep learning architecture modification, and system performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with multilayer perceptrons, convolutional neural networks, recurrent architectures including LSTMs, transformer models, supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and statistical or graphical models.
- Familiarity with computational and statistical learning theory.
- Experience with web application frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI and understanding of source control and basic software architecture.
- Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
- Preferred qualifications include active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly, AWS or other cloud experience, microservices and containerization, explainable or adversarial AI, active learning, DevOps/DevSecOps/MLOps, Linux, LLM prompt engineering and fine-tuning, modeling and simulation, and vector or graph databases.
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions requiring government clearance.
