Base Salary
$240k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead AI deployments for healthcare customers from initial engagement through production.
- Translate ambiguous customer needs into technical plans with clear owners and timelines.
- Set architecture and engineering standards for the team.
- Make tradeoff decisions about what to build, reuse, or defer.
- Work directly with customers to manage scope, timelines, and quality.
- Grow engineers and raise the technical and operational bar of the team.
Requirements
- Experience leading significant engineering work end to end as a tech lead, staff engineer, or engineering manager.
- Ability to break complex, ambiguous problems into work that other engineers can own and deliver.
- Real experience with LLMs and agent systems, or sufficient technical depth to develop that expertise quickly.
- Strong judgment in making tradeoffs and pushing back when proposed solutions do not meet the required standard.
- Ability to lead through architecture, people management, or both.
- Ability to work on site in New York City or San Francisco.
- Preferred experience in regulated or high-reliability domains such as healthcare, finance, or legal.
- Preferred experience shipping production AI or ML systems.
- Preferred customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering experience.
- Preferred experience growing engineers or running a small team.
