Responsibilities
- Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy machine-learning models for operational problems.
- Own the lifecycle from data exploration and feature engineering through evaluation and production monitoring.
- Build scalable pipelines for structured and unstructured text, imagery, geospatial, and sensor data.
- Develop reliable training and inference systems optimized for performance and edge deployment.
- Integrate models into robust, scalable production systems with testing, observability, and CI/CD practices.
- Prototype and benchmark LLM and multimodal modeling approaches to improve performance, robustness, and mission impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and understanding of machine-learning principles are required.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face is required.
- Experience cleaning and analyzing real-world datasets, engineering features, experimenting, and analyzing performance is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- A master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with edge-deployable or offline machine-learning systems and optimizing models for latency and compute constraints is preferred.
- Familiarity with distributed training or large-scale data processing is preferred.
- Exposure to geospatial, multimodal, or reasoning systems is preferred.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools is preferred.
