Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify systemic engineering challenges and drive their resolution.
- Propose and validate technical approaches for scale and performance issues.
- Lead architectural decisions for complex initiatives.
- Write code, review pull requests, and debug production issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations for complex engineering incidents.
- Champion operational excellence across engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical floor through feedback.
- Collaborate with product teams to align technical work with priorities.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in AWS and cloud-native architecture.
- Strong fundamentals in JVM languages, primarily Java and Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems.
- Comfort with large databases and query optimization.
- Practical experience with AI/ML engineering.
- A track record of delivering complex initiatives in ambiguous environments.
- Strong debugging instincts and a bias for root-cause analysis.
