Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
  • Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs and external services across frontend, backend, databases, and third-party systems.
  • Design and work with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, queries, and application integration.
  • Translate business requirements and UI/UX concepts into robust technical solutions, using tools such as Figma.
  • Develop reusable components and contribute to shared libraries, development standards, and design systems.
  • Apply software engineering practices covering code quality, testing, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, continuous improvement, Agile ceremonies, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Support application deployment and operation in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
  • Use Git and automated deployment pipelines and troubleshoot issues across the application stack.
  • Collaborate with Data and AI engineers to integrate data-driven and AI-based capabilities when applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in full-stack software development.
  • Experience using Figma or an equivalent tool to translate product requirements into user-friendly interfaces, wireframes, design systems, and interactive prototypes.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Vite, and TanStack.
  • Experience developing backend applications or services with Python, FastAPI, Next.js, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of databases and data modeling, preferably SQL and relational databases.
  • Understanding of clean code, modular architecture, testing, and version control.
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices and experience with or interest in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, ownership, and communication skills.
  • Good spoken and written English; German is a plus.
