Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs for scalable, reliable, low-latency personalization.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions across backend services, React-based frontend experiences, and developer-facing SDKs, libraries, and tools.
- Implement CDN and edge-based caching solutions for performant personalized content delivery.
- Benchmark, instrument, monitor, and optimize large-scale systems for performance and observability.
- Apply defensive coding practices, automated unit and end-to-end testing, and sound engineering judgment to ensure correctness and maintainability.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools responsibly to improve software delivery workflows.
- Participate in planning, refinement, implementation, reviews, and retrospectives while contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience building APIs and services that handle large volumes of traffic.
- Strong proficiency with server-side TypeScript and API protocol design.
- Experience delivering full-stack solutions with React-based frontend experiences and developer SDKs, libraries, or tools.
- Experience with serverless architectures, ideally edge compute environments such as Cloudflare Workers.
- Experience with CDN operations, caching strategies, benchmarking, observability instrumentation, and performance optimization.
- Expertise in defensive coding, robustness, and fault tolerance.
- Proficiency with automated testing, including unit and end-to-end tests.
- Experience using AI tools and agentic coding workflows to improve software delivery.
- Practical understanding of Agile delivery practices.
- Proactive ownership, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent English communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts.
