Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of key projects within a global program of work.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and components supporting the Strategic Index desk.
- Collaborate with technology teams, business users, and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize deliverables, and deliver user-focused solutions.
- Apply Agile practices from project inception through production release.
- Drive governance and adoption of approved AI-assisted software development practices with validation standards for secure, correct, and performant outputs.
- Use approved software development toolchains and automation capabilities to improve delivery efficiency.
- Champion testing and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Improve platform design and capabilities through continuous iteration and feedback.
- Own deliverables through completion, including production support, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Proficiency in object-oriented or functional programming using Python, Java, C++, or C#.
- Willingness to develop proficiency in Python.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested software in a controlled environment.
- Ability to lead enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development practices covering coding, review, testing, and troubleshooting with clear validation expectations.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and resiliency and security expectations.
- Ability to take ownership from requirements through production support and build reliable, maintainable software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Preferred experience developing applications in finance or investment banking, such as market risk, profit and loss, or financial modeling.
- Preferred knowledge of equities, foreign exchange, credit, rates, commodities, or index and portfolio analytics.
