Responsibilities
- Scale and simplify the voice network.
- Contribute to design, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VoIP tools and services.
- Collaborate with peers to build and refactor VoIP networks.
- Lead the evolution of Bandwidth's global voice network.
- Originate ideas and activities that advance the craft of VoIP engineering.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a VoIP Specialist in a carrier network.
- Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, and related VoIP protocols.
- Experience identifying and solving scaling/capacity problems in VoIP networks.
- Familiarity with DevOps standards and AI-powered solutions.
- Proficient in Linux troubleshooting.
- Experience with instrumentation, metrics, and observability.
- Ability to work closely with developers and operational teams.
- Comfortable automating tasks with code.
- Familiarity with IP networks that support VoIP.
- Experience with RDBMs like MySQL or Postgres.
- Track record of identifying requirements and creating solutions.
- Passionate about product quality and team leadership.
