Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Docker-based test environments, including Dockerfiles and Docker Compose setups.
- Identify tooling gaps, propose solutions, and contribute to the team roadmap with QA leadership, engineering managers, and DevOps.
- Maintain and improve GitHub Actions workflows for test-suite reliability and execution speed.
- Help define validation approaches for containerized deployments across configurations and version combinations.
- Perform manual, exploratory, and automated testing of product features and document, track, and verify defects.
- Gather feedback on internal QA tools, iterate on them, communicate changes, and drive adoption.
- Improve test-suite reliability by addressing flaky tests and creating self-contained, API-seeded test data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer or Software Engineer in Test.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Solid practical experience reading and writing Dockerfiles, using multi-container setups, and debugging containerized environments.
- Experience with manual and exploratory testing and producing clear, actionable defect reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across QA, development, and DevOps.
- Demonstrated AI literacy, including using AI tools for productivity and quality improvements while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Experience writing and maintaining Ruby on Rails code is preferred.
- Experience optimizing CI workflows through caching, parallelization, runner sizing, and cost trade-offs is preferred.
