Responsibilities
- Define test coverage and scope from acceptance criteria and perform robust automation and exploratory testing.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary squad members to identify test scenarios, design test cases, and achieve comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, develop, and extend reusable frameworks, templates, guidelines, and scripts for manual and automated testing.
- Write detailed test plans and end-of-test reports and facilitate reviews with the development squad.
- Validate feature behavior against requirements and verify that software operates as intended.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive feedback through colleague work reviews.
- Support continuous testing, troubleshooting, process improvement, and adoption of new technologies.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in quality engineering or test automation.
- Understanding of BDD and/or ATDD, agile development, shift-left testing, and continuous testing approaches.
- Experience with automated testing tools and technologies including Playwright, JavaScript, Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
- Understanding of programming principles and practices for creating reusable, maintainable, and sophisticated test automation code.
- Experience or interest in DevOps tooling for continuous testing, including GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Harness, and UCD.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work independently, improve processes, review colleagues’ work, and learn new technologies.
