Responsibilities
- Test firmware components for multiple Rockwell Automation devices.
- Verify and validate product features involving network protocols, controller runtime functions, and platform or operating-system services.
- Develop automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze defects and support root-cause identification and issue resolution.
- Participate in requirements reviews and define test coverage for new features.
- Create test cases, test plans, and test documentation while maintaining traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.
- Participate in Agile/SAFe development activities and collaborate with worldwide teams.
- Improve automation and CI/CD practices in testing workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or a related IT field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 2+ years of practical Python test-automation experience using software lifecycle development methodologies.
- Typically 2+ years of experience testing embedded-systems firmware, analyzing defects, and supporting issue resolution.
- Knowledge of network protocols, embedded-systems architecture, or real-time operating systems such as QNX or VxWorks.
- Practical experience with GitHub or GitLab and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
- Understanding of testing methods, test design, and validation techniques.
- Fluent English at B2 level or higher.
- Preferred qualifications include industrial automation experience, knowledge of embedded security or IEC 62443 and IEC 61508, industrial network protocol experience, familiarity with registers, interrupts, memory management, BSP/HAL, real-time systems, and Agile/SAFe development.
