Responsibilities
- Develop firmware components and product features for Rockwell Automation industrial devices.
- Implement network protocols, controller runtime functions, and platform or OS services.
- Debug firmware and perform defect analysis using systematic root cause analysis.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD-driven quality workflows.
- Participate in requirements analysis, system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
- Create high-level and low-level design specifications and maintain embedded coding standards.
- Collaborate with embedded teams in Katowice, the United States, Singapore, and Czechia.
- Participate in Agile/SAFe planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or a related IT field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 2+ years of practical software development experience in C++ and 2+ years of embedded systems firmware development and debugging.
- Knowledge of network protocols, embedded systems architecture, or real-time operating systems such as QNX or VxWorks.
- Practical experience with GitHub or GitLab and Jenkins.
- Fluent English at B2 level or higher.
- Preferred qualifications include Python programming, industrial automation systems, EtherNet/IP or CIP, embedded security concepts, safety standards such as IEC 62443 or IEC 61508, hardware-software interaction, real-time systems, and Agile/SAFe development.
