Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud while driving architecture and code quality.
- Implement and optimize RESTful APIs on Java 17.
- Build and maintain Apache Kafka event-driven systems with producers, consumers, DLT patterns, and idempotency mechanisms.
- Deploy, monitor, and operate services on AWS EKS with Helm.
- Manage persistence, relational data modeling, database systems, and Flyway migrations.
- Integrate Salesforce, Magento, and payment gateway systems.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and implement observability with OpenTelemetry and Micrometer.
- Apply secure-by-default development practices.
- Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience building production Java microservices.
- Advanced proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.x, and Spring Cloud.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Expertise with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, DLT patterns, and idempotency.
- Experience with AWS messaging services including SQS, SNS, and MSK.
- Experience deploying to AWS EKS with Helm.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate, Flyway, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with coding harnesses such as VS Code Copilot.
- Preferred experience with ElastiCache (Redis), Salesforce, Magento, payment or PSP gateway integration, OpenTelemetry, and Micrometer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Oracle Certified Professional Java SE certification is desired.
