Responsibilities

  • Architect and build next-generation engineering systems for buyer fraud and abuse prevention.
  • Develop highly available, scalable, and distributed systems supporting hundreds of millions of global transactions.
  • Detect abusive patterns across millions of transactions using data-centric systems, predictive variables, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Help prevent abusive transactions while maintaining a high bar for customer experience.
  • Participate in coding, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations across the software development life cycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
