Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud-native applications on AWS and Kubernetes, including EKS and Rancher.
  • Develop microservices and serverless components for real-time equity derivatives pricing and risk calculations.
  • Optimize hybrid-cloud deployments across AWS and on-premises environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
  • Build proprietary compute infrastructure and low-latency trading and pricing services for equity derivatives.
  • Develop and collaborate on rich trader-facing user interfaces using React and HTML5.
  • Apply equity derivatives knowledge to guide technical decisions and meet front-office requirements.
  • Collaborate with global development teams on functionality, enhancements, bug fixes, and requirements.
  • Plan and manage release cycles while guiding QA and Support teams.
  • Assist production support and end users with day-to-day issues.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of application-development experience using multiple languages, including JVM languages, Go, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, RDS, and S3, as well as Kubernetes and Rancher.
  • Experience with hybrid-cloud environments spanning AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Experience with multithreaded and distributed architectures.
  • Experience with messaging middleware such as Pulsar, Solace, and Kafka, and distributed caching with Redis.
  • Basic understanding of P&L attribution and risk measures for flow derivatives including options and futures.
  • Basic knowledge of equity derivatives and relevant industry experience.
  • Strong programming-patterns and distributed-architecture knowledge, with hands-on delivery and analytical capabilities.
